Four images selected out of thousands from my own archive: four highlights from many years of arctic travels, available as high quality prints with frames made of real Spitsbergen driftwood and strictly limited to one (ONE!) print per image.
The image comes as a high-quality acrylic print sized 60x50 cm made by Whitewall.
The frame is made in Longyearbyen by master carpenter Wolfgang Zach from driftwood that we have collected on the beaches of Spitsbergen. Click here to read more about our Spitsbergen driftwood picture frames. For this exclusive series of four prints, I have used frames based on the 2018 design, which are a bit slimmer/more elegant than those that we usually offer (currently, we don't have any in stock).
For the first time I am now doing what I actually wanted to do when we started with the driftwood picture frames some years ago: now they are available with high-quality prints of my own arctic photography. From thousands of images, I have chosen four that are, beyond any doubt, highlights of my arctic life, and I think you will easily why this is so. The quality of the prints is much better than the photo of the framed picture may suggest; take this just for an impression.
Limited single edition means just that: each one of the four pictures offered here is available just once.
Four different images are offered here:
Glacier front on Spitsbergen's east coast: It is arctic winter and we are standing on the frozen fjord next to the mighty ice cliff of Heuglinbreen in Mohnbukta on the east coast of Spitsbergen. The sun has returned after the polar night, but it is still low on the sky, thus casting stunning light over the scenery and making the beautiful blue and green colours of the ice shine out.
On the outer side, the frame measures 81 x 65 cm. Inside - the visible photo print - the size is 49 x 58.5 cm, and the thickness of the frame with the image is near 4 cm. These figures may vary slightly due to the natural material and the manual production of the frames.
The framed picture can be mounted on the wall by using the parallel aluminium rails on the back of the print as provided by Whitewall or with the dedicated cavities for screws/hooks (not included) on the back of the wooden frame.
The picture comes mounted with the frame and securely packed for the voyage.
In theory, it would be possible at any time to exchange the print for another one just by undoing a few screws, but why should anyone want to do that ..?
